About Us
Built on Experience. Rooted in Integrity
Brian’s journey in the automotive industry started in high school, where he first learned the trade and developed a mindset that still defines Payson Tire today—if you’re going to do something, be the best at it.
After stepping away briefly to explore other opportunities, he was called back to manage the shop where he started. That experience shaped his leadership and reinforced his commitment to doing things the right way.
In 2010, Brian moved his family to Oregon to work for Les Schwab. Starting over from the bottom was a humbling experience, but it became clear that home was where they were meant to be. With faith and determination, he made the decision to return, cashing out his 401(k) to make it happen. Knowing he wanted more than just managing someone else’s business, he took a leap—connecting with the right people at the right time and opening the doors to Payson Tire in 2013.
The early days were far from glamorous. Operating out of a shared space with Southwest Transmission, Payson Tire had just two bays, a shared office, tight parking, and a lot of moving pieces—literally. Cars were constantly shuffled around like a game of Tetris just to keep things moving. With a small team and limited equipment, Brian focused on doing what he could, building relationships, and earning trust one customer at a time.
From the beginning, the community showed its support. Those early years were a blessing, and the business grew quickly. What started as a small operation steadily evolved into the shop Payson knows today.
In 2018, after buying out his business partner, Brian joined Tire Pros to align with a nationally recognized brand and continue improving the level of service offered to customers. After several years of growth and continued refinement, the decision was made to return to the shop’s roots—Payson Tire & Automotive.
Today, working with independent networks like ITDG allows Payson Tire to remain competitive with larger national chains while maintaining the freedom to operate with the values it was built on. For Brian, returning to the original name isn’t just a change—it’s a return to the vision he had from the beginning.
